Dear Jane,

I asked my 23-year old son what it is like for him to face the climate crisis and combined his answers with my own experience to make some resonant wonderings for us both, and I hope for you, too:

Do you try not to pay attention to climate crisis information in order to manage your sense of futility and helplessness? Do you sometimes wake up in the night, filled with helpless anxiety? Is it hard to work toward a future when you are also having to integrate species extinction? Do you stay away from the heartbreak and the scariness of the scale of the situation? Is it so much bigger than you that you turn away and distract yourself? Do you delete the email, close the webpage, change the channel, or move to the next article?

We’re all in this together, and many of us are having these intense and very similar experiences on our own, somehow believing that we shouldn’t tell the truth about what’s happening and about how we feel.

What would it be like to still have a sense that this world is yours, and that your love for the earth and all its living beings matters? What would have to happen for you to claim your birthright of belonging? For you to get to walk on this earth in love and confidence, with understanding and compassion for yourself and for everyone and everything that is struggling right now?

The learning and integration we will gain from our resonance and climate program will bring us back to our birthright of belonging, love and understanding for this sweet planet we live on with its ecosystems along with a full acknowledgment of the impact of humans on it all.
In total, this online Resonance and Climate Change series includes 12 scientists working on the edges of climate change, 12 specialists in climate anxiety, and for those who enroll in the full program, 10 resonance explorations with me, Sarah Peyton. Each event happens once monthly, providing a year of support and deepening understanding.

3 monthly components for a total of 35 sessions in 1 year! Why? Because I care about the climate crisis and I want to support us to look at, understand, become resilient, and take action together.

The scientists will meet with us online from all over the world, presenting their research and their thoughts about subjects like:

(Each of these sessions can be joined separately, or as part of the full package.)

This planet is your body’s home, and your mind is the home of your consciousness. Climate anxiety and loneliness can drive you away from your home, from your body and from your mind, keep you from fully resting, and keep your immune system from fully functioning. For people who enroll in the full program, we will spend ten (10) 2-hour sessions over the course of the year learning through demos and practices about how resonance can support us to come fully home to ourselves, even in such uncertain times.

There are recommended donation levels to help cover the costs for the speakers, but for those of you who don’t have the available income, the sessions can be completely free. We want this program to be available to everyone who can find comfort and support from it. We don’t want anyone to be alone with climate anxiety anymore.

I hope to see you there!

Warmly,
Sarah
